Aquatic Programmes
Basketball Programme
The YWCA basketball court is used by the community for both basketball and volleyball, not only for practices but also for competitions. Participants of the sporting practices and competition include: primary and secondary schools, youth and church groups, personnel from the community's businesses and offices for basketball and volleyball activities.
- Learn to swim - For all ages, scheduled throughout the year.
- Lifeguard training – Provides the opportunity to develop valuable skills to help people safely enjoy the water.
- Water safety instruction – Teaches general water safety guidelines, information and skills necessary to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies.
- School visits – Primary schools, high schools, and youth groups receive special rates.
- Lifeguard services – The YWCA maintains a roster of qualified lifeguards available for hire for private events on rivers, lagoons and pools.

HIV/AIDS Outreach
Education and training with youth and young adults. A youth friendly center provides information, resources and discussions about HIV/AIDS and health issues.

Young people aged 13 – 20 have a safe, comfortable environment for social, educational and spiritual activities.
20 Sumt’n Club
Young professionals contribute to the development of the mind, body and spirit of young adults in Belize.
Seenagers
Weekly gatherings for women aged 60 and over with structured activities such as poetry readings, music and dance recitals, discussions on health, arts and crafts, Bible readings and exercise.

A highlight on the social calendar each year, the YWCA spotlights the talents, achievements and accomplishments of Belize’s senior women.
