H.E.L.P. Programme
The Helping Early Leavers Programme is a two-year programme designed to provide alternative educational opportunities to young women who are unable to go on to high school. The programme was established in 1992 and offers all students instruction in academics (Math, English and Social Studies), life skills (health and hygiene, self-esteem, and work-readiness), computer skills and physical education. Girls can choose to study for the Primary School Examination or enroll in one of these three vocational streams:
To qualify for the program you need to:
- Cosmetology
- Sewing
- Hospitality
To qualify for the program you need to:
- Be between the ages of 13 and 18 years old
- Be motivated and have a positive attitude towards others
- Have basic reading and writing skills
